Tightvnc silent installation command system
Hi guys,
Anyone use TightVNC atall?
We have successfully deployed it across the network, including the registry keys but for some reason, the password doesn't allow anyone into the admin panel. We have to go to each machine, reinstall it and manually set a new password.
On the website it says copy these registry keys across to other machines, however those registry hives don't exist (not on windows 7 anyway)

Taken from the TightVNC website:
If you want to install TightVNC on a number of computers, and do not want to repeatedly enter the same password on each machine, install TightVNC once and set the password, then copy the registry settings to other computers. TightVNC settings can be found in the following sections in the registry:
•HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareORLWinVNC3
•HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareORLWinVNC3
On our machines We have no 'ORL' hive but we do have a 'TightVNC' hive. Tried deploying the registry values in that and no luck. Should the registry keys be allocated as a machine GPO or user?
Any ideas?
Cheers
